BSP SEMINAR

Business and Sustainability Programme – Seminars for Senior Executives

bsp_logoThe Prince of Wales’s Business & Sustainability Programme seminars bring together a select group of influential decision-makers to understand the challenges and opportunities of sustainable development, to inspire them to make the necessary changes within their organisations, and to become champions who will help business and society work together to create a sustainable future.

These 3.5-day residential seminars are held each year in Cambridge, Cape Town, Brussels, Atlanta and Sydney. They are designed for leaders and senior executives who operate at a strategic level within their organisation and who need to make the right long-term decisions to ensure those organisations build resilience in the face of growing economic, environmental and social turbulence. A minority of delegates at each seminar are invited leaders of civil society organizations, providing a dynamic mix of worldviews and experience.

Outstanding contributions from members of the Programme’s Core Faculty and specially invited speakers, combined with the knowledge, interest and authority of high calibre participants, make these seminars unique. The opportunity to meet and debate with like-minded peers from the region and overseas and to search with them for practical solutions using real business scenarios is also valued by those who attend.

This is what some of our alumni had to say:

“Great balance between theory, raising awareness, sharing solutions and sharing ideas between delegates.”

- Paul Kramer. General Manager, Strategy. Engen Petroleum South Africa

“A fantastic experience.”

- Shirley Lue Arnold. Chairman. Telkom South Africa

“Congratulations! Take a long, low bow. It was valuable, life changing and most of all fun!”

- Sheila Surgey. Executive Director. Hollard Insurance

“When I decided to take the BSP Seminar, I was looking for a more organic experience — where true sustainable development was the most pressing issue for all the participants. The South African offering provided just that and more. It had the flavor of the global issues of sustainability, but forged in a unique crucible with regional urgency. I highly recommend the South African seminar for this reason.”

- Neil Hawkins. Vice President, Sustainability. The Dow Chemical Company
